Overview
Where the earthing conductor is a cable rather than a tape, the rod to cable clamp is used. The three common designs differ in how they grip: the G-type clamps cable and rod in one cast body, the U-bolt type wraps a U-bolt around the rod, and the lug clamp provides a bolted lug for the cable.
Empire Alloys makes all three in brass. The G-type is listed for 3/8", 5/8" and 3/4" rods in the ERTCC series below.

Materials, plating and packing
Free-cutting brass (CZ121 / IS 319 type) is the default for machined parts; copper, copper alloys, aluminium, gunmetal and steel are also processed in-house. Plating options at Empire Alloys include tin, copper, chrome, nickel and zinc, with shot blasting and nitric wash available as surface treatments.
Parts are packed to suit the shipment: PVC or thermal PVC bags, cartons, shrink-wrap, strapped wooden cases or pallets, with every bag and carton labelled for easy identification.

Frequently asked questions
Which is better, G-type or U-bolt?
G-type is compact and quick to fit; U-bolt clamps allow more adjustment for cable size. Both are available.
Do you supply rod to tape clamps?
