Overview
A hose nipple (hose tail adapter) has a male or female thread on one end and a serrated tail on the other that pushes into a hose and is secured with a clip. It is one of the most common fittings on water, air and gas hoses.

Materials, plating and packing
Free-cutting brass (CZ121 / IS 319 type) is the default for machined parts; copper, copper alloys, aluminium, gunmetal and steel are also processed in-house. Plating options at Empire Alloys include tin, copper, chrome, nickel and zinc, with shot blasting and nitric wash available as surface treatments.
Parts are packed to suit the shipment: PVC or thermal PVC bags, cartons, shrink-wrap, strapped wooden cases or pallets, with every bag and carton labelled for easy identification.
