Overview
A compression fitting has three parts: the body, a nut and an olive (ferrule). Tightening the nut compresses the olive between the body and the tube, sealing the joint without heat. That makes compression fittings popular for water, gas and instrumentation lines where soldering is impractical.
Empire Alloys machines compression bodies, nuts and brass olives to matching tolerances so the seal forms reliably. Straight, elbow, tee and reducing patterns are made, along with caps and plugs and special designs.

Materials, plating and packing
Free-cutting brass (CZ121 / IS 319 type) is the default for machined parts; copper, copper alloys, aluminium, gunmetal and steel are also processed in-house. Plating options at Empire Alloys include tin, copper, chrome, nickel and zinc, with shot blasting and nitric wash available as surface treatments.
Parts are packed to suit the shipment: PVC or thermal PVC bags, cartons, shrink-wrap, strapped wooden cases or pallets, with every bag and carton labelled for easy identification.
What to send with your enquiry
