Overview
Heating equipment puts components through repeated heating and cooling, often in contact with water. Parts such as heater element bosses, flanges, connectors, bushes and nuts must keep their dimensions and resist scaling and corrosion.
Empire Alloys makes heating equipment accessories in brass, copper, aluminium, steel and other alloys, choosing material according to temperature, duration of exposure and the medium. Read our guide on selecting components for heating equipment.

Materials, plating and packing
Free-cutting brass (CZ121 / IS 319 type) is the default for machined parts; copper, copper alloys, aluminium, gunmetal and steel are also processed in-house. Plating options at Empire Alloys include tin, copper, chrome, nickel and zinc, with shot blasting and nitric wash available as surface treatments.
Parts are packed to suit the shipment: PVC or thermal PVC bags, cartons, shrink-wrap, strapped wooden cases or pallets, with every bag and carton labelled for easy identification.
